Our Story
About CMSH
A sports hub built on discipline, pride and a clear vision for Kenyan athletes.
Our Mission
Built for the Long Game
Charles Michael Sports Hub was founded in Limuru to create more opportunities for people to train, compete and grow through sport. Taekwondo is our flagship programme, delivered under the same rules and standards that govern competitions from local tournaments all the way to the Olympic Games.
We believe sport changes lives. Not because of trophies alone, but because of what happens in the dojang every week — the discipline, the respect, the persistence. We train athletes. We also build people.
Our long-term aim is to host a World Taekwondo–recognised international open in Kenya, working with the Kenya Taekwondo Federation as the path to that recognition. But first things first: we train, we compete, and we prove what is possible.
Why Limuru?
Limuru sits at the centre of Kiambu County, with strong school networks and a community of families who value sport. It is the right place to build something lasting.
Context: Kenya on the World Stage
Nairobi hosted the first World Taekwondo Under-21 Championships in December 2025 — 452 athletes, 75 nations. Kenya has the infrastructure and the appetite. We intend to be part of what comes next.

Michael has dedicated his career to taekwondo — as an athlete, as a coach, and now as a tournament organiser. He is a respected figure in Kenyan taekwondo and brings both technical rigour and a genuine passion for community impact.
He founded Charles Michael Sports Hub to create something he always wanted for Kenyan athletes: a home that takes talent seriously from the first class, not just when a child hits the national circuit.
What We Stand For
Our Values
Excellence
We set high standards. For our athletes and for ourselves.
Respect
In taekwondo, respect is not optional. It is foundational.
Inclusion
Sport should be open to all. We hold places for girls and for families facing financial barriers.
Safety
Every athlete, especially children, trains in a safe, vetted environment.
Integrity
We say what we mean, publish what we know, and mark what we don't.
